+++ STOP PRESS - ALL ROUND 12 CLUB 2000/RED LODGE PHOTOS UPLOADED [Tuesday Evening November 5] +++
Monday Afternoon - November 4th, 2024:
That's it, then, for 2024 for Club 2000 Championship rounds. It finished well, considering the damp all-day conditions with intermittent rain, and how many other meetings there were at the same time around the country in our rich karting world.
We've made a strong start on processing the usual huge numbers of images for the day and already the Cadets and the Juniors are up on the website. We should have the rest of them up tomorrow with any luck.
Then we have the final Test Day this year to look forward to, on December 27th and by then, Xmas will be behind us and we'll be preparing for the 2025 Season which starts on Saturday January 4th. In the evening there'll be the Championship Awards Evening at the circuit and that's not to miss!
Don't forget to have a look at the Red Lodge 30th Anniversary Open Day with Endurance Race, the incredible 2 Brothers Motorbike Stunt demonstrations and the concours d'elegance featuring the cars currently being raced by former drivers of Club 2000 and Red Lodge. Remember, that net proceeds for sales go to SARS the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service who work alongside the East of England Ambulance Service. As well as providing vital services in Suffolk and surrounding counties, they frequently act as our Paramedics on race days.
So plenty more to come so give us a smile and a wave whenever you are in lens range and I guess, its almost the time of year when we all wish each other Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
Cheers for now!
So that's a wrap! All the images taken last Saturday at the Red Lodge 30th Anniversary Open Day have now been processed and up loaded where you can see them or buy them.
Remember: net proceeds from electronic image sales will be donated to SARS, the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service, who provide volunteer first responders throughout the Region to supplement the East of England Ambulance Service. Your generous purchases have already laid the foundations for a nice little donation -- let's make it a BIG one!
So what's next for Sprocket Photography at Red Lodge? Well, if its a nice day, I may well come along to the Owner/Driver Test Day at half-term on Tuesday October 29th. Then, at the weekend, I'll definitely be at Club 2000 for the final Round of the year on Saturday, November 2nd, come rain or shine! I'm also talking with the Powers that Be about coming along to another YoungstarZ meeting, if I can find a free dry day. So, plenty to come and I hope to see huge numbers of you on the track and off it as well -- don't forget to smile and wave and come up and say Hi!
Cheers for now!
Last Saturday, Red Lodge did something a bit different and I was privileged to be invited to capture it all!
It was the 30th Anniversary of the foundation of the circuit from a beat-up old caravan to the foremost floodlit kilometer long Karting and Activity Circuit in East Anglia. Wrapped around a Charity Day for two organisations which have long had a strong connections with the Circuit, Sibling Support (inspired by Liam and Callum Fairhurst and Family) and SARS (the Suffolk Accident Response Service), Red Lodge opened its gates to a morning team endurance race, a concours d'elegance of race cars, karts, plus! from drivers and friends who had started out there, face painting, bouncy castles, hair braiding, a mega raffle, a ska band, and goodness knows what more, and finally the many spectators who had braved the morning downpours, were treated to a jaw dropping demonstration of bike stunts and drifting by the acclaimed Two Brothers Racing Stunt Team.
As usual, there were godzillions of images to process, but they have started to be uploaded onto the website in the Karting section. Have a look through them as they start to appear in their respective galleries (remember: the grey ones haven't been completed yet, so come back for those when they change to colour). Enjoy them all and there'll be a final posting when they're all done in a couple of days. And do BUY THEM PLEASE, as net proceeds of electronic images will be donated to SARS, who look after us all when things don't go to plan on track and that includes the photographers on rare occasions!
